We frequent Bellevue and I always wanted to try this restaurant. I finally was able to try it last month for dinner with a group. The restaurant is very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful in terms of explaining the menu. The food is a bit pricey, but worth it because the food was really good.
The ambience is great for a Japanese Restaurant. The food was good - I love the miso soup, Kaisen Kani Miso Yaki and the Spicy Tuna Roll. My husband ordered their Karaage set but he said it was average. Service was amazing.
Being located inside a hotel is a plus point already. The ambience is really nice especially if you’re looking for a Japanese resto for your date.
The prices are not that expensive and not cheap as well. Considering the taste of the food and the ambience, for me the prices are all right.
The staff are accommodating and patient considering we have 3 kids in our table (imagine how crazy is that) who knows how to order and requests for stuff.
Now, let me talk about the food.
I am a super crazy maki person. I’m all about the maki life. I ordered SPICY TUNA MAKI and boy, it did not disappoint. It was sooooo good!! It has a very generous serving of tuna!
Gyoza was the 2nd thing I ordered. It was ehhh....okay. I was kinda disappointed with this one. I don’t know if it’s the sauce or what but I’m sorry I wouldn’t recommend ordering this.
The Angus Beef Tenderloin is a must order if you’re a crazy “steak” person like me. It was so flavorful, so soft and really really worth the price.
Tonkatsu was okay. I’d rather go to Yabu if this is what I’ll order.
Lastly, the Beef Fried Rice. It was good but it had bell peppers. And I hate bell peppers. Well it was a mistake on my part coz I didn’t even bother asking what’s inside it but it was really flavorful trust me.
Overall, it was worth the try and I’ll definitely go there and dine again.
